Jodie Sweetin, an actress from the 1987-1995 sitcom "Full House," was injured in a Los Angeles, California, car accident in 2011. She is filing a lawsuit against the driver for damages. Neither she nor the man she is suing has made statements regarding the lawsuit being filed.

The 30-year-old actress claims that the driver's negligence caused the accident. According to a Twitter post from Sweetin a few days after the accident, she sustained a broken wrist and suffered soreness throughout her entire body as a result. She reported that a driver had recklessly turned left in front of her as she drove through an intersection. Her car was totaled.

In the suit, Sweetin alleges that the accident resulted in lost earnings, vehicle damage, medical bills and potential future expenses. She is asking for a minimum of $25,000 in damages along with a jury trial. She says her injury, which led her to be seen with a cast on her arm, hampered her ability to obtain acting work.

Sweetin and her former co-star Candace Cameron Bure conversed over Twitter in the aftermath of the accident. Sweetin tweeted that the other driver turned in front of her at an intersection. It is not known if the other driver gave his side of the story on a social media website.

There are many potential headaches to deal with if you are involved in a car accident. The accident may have traumatized you and caused you pain and suffering. Your vehicle will need to be repaired and possibly even replaced. You will have to devote time and energy to negotiating with insurance companies to receive a fair settlement for the damage that has been done. Many people in this situation consult with an experienced attorney in order to make sure that they are receiving a just settlement.
