Dozens of people were injured when a tour bus that was headed to a casino rolled over on a freeway near Los Angeles. According to reports, the bus hit the rear of another vehicle, causing it to swerve across traffic. The bus was traveling on the 210 freeway when it overturned after breaking through a fence on the right-hand shoulder. The majority of the passengers sustained injuries, and three people traveling in other vehicles were injured as a result of the commercial vehicle accident.
According to the son of one of the passengers, the bus appeared to have been traveling too fast before the accident happened. The bus was filled with people aged 60 to 80, and five of the injured were transported via air to a local medical facility.
According to reports, a Chinese bus company owned the bus that was involved in the accident. The bus company is known for offering day trips to casinos in California and Nevada. U.S. Transportation Department's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration reported that over the past two years, nine of the company's buses were in accidents. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Those who are involved in bus or truck accidents may sustain serious or life-threatening injuries. They may be struggling to keep up with rising medical bills or trying to make ends meet because they aren't be able to work. A skilled motor vehicle accident attorney may be able to research the incident and gather reports from authorities and witnesses in order to negotiate with insurance companies to try to achieve a positive resolution.
